Glen Powell’s Ex Slams Him Over Sydney Sweeney Rumors: “He Broke Me”

After months of silence, Gigi Paris has finally spoken out about her breakup with actor Glen Powell and the cheating rumors involving Sydney Sweeney. The model and influencer addressed the emotional fallout on the Too Much podcast with Emma Klipstein, sharing how devastated she felt during the very public unraveling of her relationship.

The Rumors That Sparked It All

Back in 2023, speculation around a possible romance between Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney erupted while the pair were filming their romantic comedy Anyone But You. Paparazzi photos of the actors looking especially cozy on set—sometimes even in swimwear on a boat—fueled the media frenzy.

Not long after, Paris and Powell ended their three-year relationship.

To promote the film, both Powell and Sweeney later admitted they had “leaned into” the dating rumors, claiming it helped market the movie. But behind the scenes, the situation was far from lighthearted for Paris.

“I was shattered,” Paris said, recalling the painful end of their relationship.

Paris Felt “Fed to the Dogs”

Although she didn’t name Powell or Sweeney directly, Paris made clear references to them while recounting the events that led to the breakup.

“I just wanted respect, especially if it’s gonna be public,” she said. “Don’t make an ass out of me. Just have some decency.”

She continued: “We were together for over three years, talking about forever. But at the end of the day, work came first for him. And if that’s your priority, power to you—but I had to walk away.”

One particularly painful memory for Paris was when she planned to visit Powell on set in Australia—only to be told she was no longer welcome.

“He called and said, ‘The producers and I have discussed it, and I think it’s best that you don’t come visit.’ That phone call broke me,” she said. “I just knew it was over.”

The Fallout—and the Film’s Success

Despite the drama, Anyone But You was a major box office success, earning $220 million globally. The fake romance marketing strategy worked, but Paris paid a personal price.

Since then, Sweeney has confirmed the end of her engagement to Jonathan Davino, saying in an interview with The Sunday Times, “I’m learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I’m loving it.”

Glen Powell’s Family Responds

Even as rumors continued to swirl, Powell’s mother, Cyndy, weighed in publicly to shut down the speculation. She told the Daily Mail that Sweeney and Powell are not romantically involved.

“They’re definitely not together,” Cyndy Powell said. “We love Sydney. She’s just a really good friend.”

Still, the emotional toll on Gigi Paris appears to linger—especially considering how public and painful the entire situation became.
